This document describes the privacy policy of Sharon Hotel (hereinafter: “the Hotel” or “we”) with respect to information that may be collected about you when you stay at, visit or use any of the services, facilities, amenities or activities offered at the Hotel; when you use the Hotel website at [sharon.co.il] (the “Site”), and when you contact the Hotel (collectively, the “Services”). It also reviews, among other things, how we use the information collected.

Personal Information (as defined below) will be stored in the Hotel’s databases and used in accordance with this Privacy Policy or applicable law. The Hotel is the controller of the databases into which information about you is collected under this Policy.

You are not legally required to provide the Personal Information described below. However, without it, we may be unable to provide all or some of the Services. By continuing to use the Site or by contacting us, you consent to this Policy and to the collection of your Personal Information as described below.

In this document, “Personal Information” means data relating to an identified or identifiable person, as defined in the Privacy Protection Law, 5741-1981 (the “Privacy Protection Law”).

Types of Information We Collect

1. 1. We may collect Personal Information about you as detailed below:

Identification details: first and last name, a copy of an identity card/passport, identity card/passport number, vehicle registration number (if provided for parking purposes), age, sex and the ages of your children.

Contact details: telephone number, email address and physical address.

Booking details: Hotel location, dates of stay at the Hotel and booking cost.

Payment method details: bank-account details and credit-card details. Credit-card payments are processed by an external payment provider, and the Hotel does not retain card details in its databases.

Information about your stay at the Hotel: information about the services you used during your stay at or visit to the Hotel, including room service, use of Hotel facilities, participation in activities offered, customer-service enquiries, feedback, interests, personal preferences (including dietary/medical preferences, if provided) and images captured by the Hotel’s security cameras.

Information about use of the Site: information about your use of the Site, including when you accessed it, how long you remained on the Site or on a particular screen, and the actions you performed through it.

Technical information: including information about your internet connection (such as IP address and internet-service provider) and information about the device you use to access the Site (such as the device type and installed operating system).

Additional information: any additional information about you or third parties that you may provide to us while using the Site or by other means.

We may also collect and process statistical and aggregate data for any purpose. Such data does not identify you and therefore does not constitute Personal Information. For example, we may use aggregate information about use of the Site to calculate the percentage of users who use a particular tool, or aggregate information about use of Hotel facilities to calculate the percentage of visitors who use them. If you provide us with Personal Information relating to third parties, you must obtain their consent; responsibility in this regard rests with you alone.

How We Collect Information

We use various methods to collect Personal Information from and about you, including the following:

Information you provide directly to us: You may provide us with identification details, contact details, booking details, payment-method details and information about your stay at the Hotel. This information is provided, among other things, when you use the Site, complete forms, contact us, participate in activities and/or receive services from the Hotel.
Information collected automatically: When you use the Site, technical information or information about your use of the Site will be collected automatically. We collect this information through logs, cookies and similar technologies. The Hotel also has security cameras that may capture images of you during your stay.
Public information and information received from third parties: We may receive Personal Information—such as identification details, contact details, booking details, payment-method details and information about your stay at the Hotel—from third parties such as travel agents, online booking sites, credit-card companies, insurance companies and various service providers. We may also receive technical information and information about your use of the Site from analytics providers and advertising partners.

Disclosure of Information to Third Parties

The Site may contain links to external websites. Clicking such a link may result in a third party collecting your Personal Information. We have no control over external websites and accept no responsibility or liability in relation to them. We recommend that you read the relevant terms of use and privacy policies of external websites before using them.

You may review information held about you in the Hotel’s databases, personally, through a representative authorized by you in writing, or through a guardian appointed for you, subject to the Privacy Protection Regulations (Conditions for Reviewing Information and Procedures for Appealing a Refusal of a Review Request), 5741-1981 (the “Access Regulations”).
Your request must include all details required under the Access Regulations, including your first name, identity-card number, father’s name, address (including postal code), reasons for the access request and the type of information you wish to access. To process your request, we may ask for additional details to verify your identity.

If you find that information held about you in the Hotel’s databases is inaccurate, incomplete, unclear or out of date, you may request that it be corrected.
